Located in scenic northeast Ohio, Buckeye Ridge is a private farm near the City of Wooster.
The Farm: 16 beautiful acres of woods, trails, orchard, garden, and pasture with Spanish Goats, just 10 minutes from Downtown Wooster. We sell goats for 4H projects as pet wethers, breeding bucks and does, meat, dairy and cashmere production. We are off the beaten path and situated down a long lane – wonderful, peaceful and quiet. Birds chirp, Owls hoot and rabbits, squirrels, deer and turkeys are frequent visitors.
Our Goats: Rare Spanish goats, ours produce an abundance of cashmere! Not your everyday goat variety, they are friendly, hardy, entertaining and fenced in so they don’t sleep on the porch, nor walk on cars! Though, to be honest, they probably want to. Our numbers vary frequently, anywhere from 12 to 26 on the farm at any time. More in the spring when the “kids” are born between March and May. We are listed in the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy & The Spanish Goat Association.
Accommodations: Open year round – we have a separate, 720 square foot apartment which includes a large open room, queen bed, queen sleeper, dining room, kitchen and full bath with laundry. Of course we have TV and Wi-Fi for our guests. We do not serve breakfast but we do stock the kitchen with breakfast foods and beverages.
